Reed
and Rachel "Rusty" Welch are proud to present The Magnolia Room and
Country Club at Southern Hills Golf Course. The Magnolia Room is a renovation of Southern Hills first and Original Clubhouse built in 1988. Reed later built a larger "New" Clubhouse in 1995, and the beautiful Banquet Room in that building did such exceptional business that it soon became apparent that there was a need for even more facilities of this caliber. Mrs. Welch, seeing the great demand for this type of facility during her years of running the Banquet Hall had a vision for not only an "additional" room, but one of even higher quality. She began to envision a superior Country Club, and has now began her plans of an Elite Club which promises all the best features of anything found in Nashville or any Cosmopolitan area. The building features a beautiful large brick fireplace complete with gas-burning logs, new inlaid wood dance floor, beautiful mahogany bar, chandelier and sconce lighting and the "piece de la resistance", a Spectacular Baby Grand Piano. It is being decorated in the manner of an elegant 1920's "Chicago-type" Nightclub, with the utmost care towards detail and style. The primary usage of the room is for private party rental, wedding receptions, etc., but Rusty and her partner Anna Brock, also plan to hold many "Open to the Public" events throughout the year. On the drawing board are plans for
a "Once-a-month" Dining and Dancing Evening complete with an
Orchestral ensemble...also a "Once-a-month" Sunday Champagne Brunch
including
the delightful touch of light
background music from the elegant Baby Grand Piano playing
during your meal. Also, renovations continue into the Spring
next year to add a beautiful Outdoor Patio with a re-circulating
Waterfall overlooking the beautiful pond and grounds of the "back
nine" of Southern Hills Golf Course. Come and enjoy a piece of "2nd
Avenue" surroundings right here in Putnam County, with the unmatched
decor and atmosphere at
